Woman Marries Stranger Who Comforted While She Was Crying

A heartbroken woman who was crying inside a shopping mall was consoled by a stranger – whom she has married just four months later.

Nur Afilah Amir Rusdi, 24, was visiting a cafe with a friend in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, last December when the pair had an argument.

The distraught young woman fled outside and sat on the steps in tears over the fall out. However, a passer-by stopped to ask what was wrong.

Nur poured out her heart to the Good Samaritan, Adama Mohamed Camara, 26, from Guinea, West Africa, and the pair struck up a conversation.

They exchanged numbers and despite going their separate ways, they kept in touch with Adama contacting her to check she was feeling better.

The couple became friends and have now tied the knot surrounded by relatives in Kedah, Malaysia, on April 26.

Delighted Nur said: “At first I was afraid because I am a woman and I don’t want anyone to take advantage of me. But I realised quickly that was not his intentions.

‘’Adama genuinely cared about me. I was in need and he was there to show support without asking for anything in return.’’

Nur discovered that Adama had arrived in Malaysia to continue his Master’s degree at Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin.

After that encounter, the two easily became friends, and later became a couple.

Adama invited Afilah to a pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia but she refused because they were not yet married. This opened up the possibilities of marriage.

Nur added: “I believe this is fate, and Allah has brought him to me.

“Adama asked my father’s permission for my hand in marriage and he told him that as long as the paperwork’s ready he agreed.

‘’My father is fierce and picky, so as long as he agrees, I trust his decision.’’
