A driver had a miracylous escape after part of a CRANE collapsed and plunged 150ft onto her BONNET.
The woman was driving slowing in traffic below a red crane being used to build a raised rail link in Bangkok, Thailand
The enormous metal block fell from the sky and crushed the car bonnet – just inches from the driver’s seat.
Pictures of the near miss were taken by rescue workers who arrived on the scene at the Phahonyothin Road at 3.52pm local time (8.52am gmt) today.
Onlooker Somboon Wongsa said it was a ‘’miracle’’ nobody was killed.
He said: ‘’The woman was trembling afterwards. She was quite scared by what had happened. But she was thankful that she was still alive.
‘’This was too close. It is a miracle that nobody was hurt.
‘’Workers were building a new sky train line and part of the crane broke away. The car’s engine was destroyed.”
