A woman who cheated death when part of a metal crane fell 100ft on her car stares daggers as she receives an apology – and a basket of CHOCOLATES.
Nong Supannee, 33, had been driving her green Nissan March last Friday when the enormous red metal frame plunged onto her bonnet – inches from the windscreen.
The shaken beautician was pictured in shock on the roadside before company chiefs handed her the bumper gift of Ferrero Rochers.
But furious Nong met again on Wednesday this week with officials from construction firm Italian-Thai Development co. ltd to work out compensation for the accident in Bangkok, Thailand.
She said: ‘’I was so shocked by the incident. Since this happened I’ve been so scared that I cannot drive.
‘’I haven’t been to work for four or five days and I’ve been crying a lot, I hardly sleep.
‘’I just want the company to pay for the damages to my car, and pay the right amount.’’
Nong and local police chief Jakkrapong Pitakkornsaku spent an hour with executives from the company but they were unable to agree a value for her car.
The firm said they wanted the situation ”to be remedied quickly” but they believed Nong was claiming too high a price for the used 392000thb (9,000gbp) four-dour vehicle.
They asked for more time to consider the evidence before making a payout and are due to meet again next week.
