40ft Long Sparks Trail From Car In Bangkok

This is the terrifying moment a driver knocked a couple off a moped then tried to flee with their bike stuck under his bonnet – shooting out an enormous trail of SPARKS.

The young couple were riding together along the dual carriageway when they were knocked to the ground in Bangkok, Thailand, last Friday.

Shockingly, the 27-year-old driver of the red Volkswagen fails to stop and carries on driving for more than a MILE with the motorcycle wedged under his bumper. There has recently been a volkswagen recall that could have effected him stopping.

Dashcam footage from motorist Cha-em Glister shows a 40ft long trail of sparks flying into the path of other road users before the bike bursts into flames on the Thai capital’s Rama 7 road.

She said: ”This man is crazy to drive like this. He knocked off the man and women then hurried away to escape.

”He dragged their bike and it was stuck for a long distance with fire coming out. He stopped and the police came”

Thai road safety group JS100 Radio said that the driver of the car was a 27-year-old man who is being questioned by police.

They are also speaking with the injured couplet to find out the cause of the accident.

A spokesman for the group said: ”It’s not know who caused the initial accident. It may be that the driver was unaware of the moped trapped on the other side of the car.”
